What faults can VibraVizja® detect?↓
VibraVizja® can reveal a wide range of mechanical faults through vibration amplification. On rotating machinery, it detects imbalance (visible at 1× running speed), misalignment (typically at 2× running speed or dominant in the axial direction), mechanical looseness (sub-harmonics and truncated waveform), and bearing faults (at specific defect frequencies such as BPFI, BPFO, and BSF). It is also highly effective for detecting structural resonance.
Can VibraVizja® be used while the machine is running at full load?↓
Yes — and this is one of the most important advantages of VibraVizja®. Because the measurement is entirely contactless, there is no need to stop the machine, attach sensors, or schedule a production window. The camera captures the vibration of the asset while it is running at its normal operating speed and load.
How does vibration amplification work?↓
Vibration amplification uses a high-frequency camera to record the surface of a machine or structure. The video is then processed by software that detects and amplifies the micro-movements present in each frame — movements that are invisible to the naked eye, often smaller than a fraction of a millimetre. The result is an amplified video in which the vibration of the structure becomes clearly visible.
How long does an on-site VibraVizja® measurement take?↓
The setup takes a few minutes — position the camera, connect the laptop, and you are ready. The video recording itself lasts only a few seconds. Processing is near-instantaneous. For a typical rotating machine inspection, the team gets meaningful, actionable results on the spot — often within 10 to 15 minutes of arriving at the asset.
Do I need to be a vibration expert to use VibraVizja®?↓
No — and this is by design. VibraVizja® was built so that a maintenance technician can set up and run a measurement in the field without specialist training. The amplified video output is immediately readable by anyone: if the machine is vibrating abnormally, you see it.
Can VibraVizja® replace my existing vibration monitoring programme?↓
VibraVizja® is not designed as a replacement for traditional vibration monitoring — it is a complementary tool that adds a visual layer to your existing programme. Accelerometers and route-based measurements give you precise numerical data and long-term trending. VibraVizja® gives you the full spatial picture.
